Description
Slender mustard freesia and soft green leaves scattered across a pale linen-textured ground, printed edge to edge on a low-pile nursery rug.
The rug is where the whole first year actually happens — tummy time, first rolls, the pile of soft toys that never quite gets put away. It is also the largest block of pattern in the room after the crib, which makes it the piece that sets the palette everything else answers to.

Choosing a size: aim for a rug that extends at least 18" beyond the crib on the open sides. In small nurseries a 4 to 5 foot rug is usually enough; larger rooms suit 5' × 7' or more.
