Nursery decor, designed as a whole room
Most nurseries end up assembled rather than designed. You find a crib sheet you love, then spend a week hunting for a rug that works with it, then settle for a blanket from somewhere else in a green that turns out to be a different green. The room comes together, but you can see the seams.
Snoozabye makes nursery decor as complete sets. Every crib sheet, changing pad cover, baby blanket, nursery rug, decorative pillow and hooded towel within a theme is printed from the same artwork, in the same palette. Choose a theme once and the whole room follows.

What goes in a nursery
If you are furnishing a baby room from scratch, the practical minimum is two crib sheets, two changing pad covers, one blanket and a rug. The crib sheet and the rug do most of the visual work, since they cover the largest surfaces and are the first things you see from the doorway. Pillows and wall decor finish the room once the basics are in place.

Nursery bedding
Fitted crib sheets for standard and mini cribs, matching changing pad covers, and soft minky baby blankets at the standard 30 by 40 inch size. All printed edge to edge and machine washable.

Nursery rugs
Washable rugs in round and rectangular shapes. The rug anchors the room and defines the play area, which is where most of the first year actually happens.

Baby bath
Hooded baby towels in the same themes as the bedroom, so bath time belongs to the same world.

Choosing a nursery theme
Every theme is drawn in muted, modern colour rather than primary brights, so the room still looks good when your baby is three. Broadly, they fall into three groups.

Gender neutral
Boho, sage green, woodland and safari, in sage, clay and cream. The practical choice if you are not finding out, or if you plan to use the room again.

Common questions
What is nursery decor?
Nursery decor covers the soft furnishings and decorative pieces in a baby room: crib sheets, blankets, rugs, cushions, wall art and changing pad covers. It is distinct from nursery furniture, which is the crib, dresser and glider.
How do I make nursery decor match?
The reliable way is to buy within one theme rather than assembling from several brands. Colour reproduction varies between manufacturers, so two items described as sage green rarely are. Every piece in a Snoozabye theme is printed from one artwork file.
When should I decorate the nursery?
Most parents start in the second trimester and finish around 36 weeks. Everything here is made to order, so allow production and shipping time rather than ordering at the last minute.
Is nursery decor machine washable?
Ours is, including the rugs. A baby room is not a careful environment, and decor that cannot survive a wash does not last.
What is gender neutral nursery decor?
Themes that do not signal a gender through colour or motif, typically in sage, cream, clay and natural tones. Our sage green, boho, woodland and safari themes all qualify, and they are the practical choice if you are not finding out or plan to reuse the room.
