Description
An antique damask of scrolling foliage, roses and fine lace swags, printed tone on tone in dusty rose so the pattern shows as texture rather than contrast, and printed edge to edge on a fitted crib sheet.
The crib sheet is the largest patterned surface in a nursery and the first thing you see from the doorway. Because this print is a single colour worked light against dark, it behaves like a damask fabric rather than a picture — from a few feet away you read a soft rose sheet, and the detail only appears when you are close.

A crib sheet should fit the mattress tightly, with no slack or bunching. Check the fit each time you make the crib up, and replace the sheet if the elastic loosens.
