Description
Simple outlined trees with terracotta trunks on a soft olive ground, printed edge to edge on a rectangular nursery area rug so the pattern reaches every corner rather than stopping at a border.
The rug is the largest single surface you choose for a nursery, which makes it the piece that sets the palette everything else has to live with. A sparse pattern is the safest choice at this scale — it fills the floor without dominating the room.

Choosing a size: aim for a rug that extends at least 18" beyond the crib on the open sides. In small nurseries a 4 to 5 foot rug is usually enough; larger rooms suit 5' × 7' or more.
