Nautical Anchors Nursery Pillow

Nautical usually arrives in navy and primary red. Ours doesn't. The softer teal keeps the theme coastal rather than maritime-graphic, which is what lets it sit in a nursery without shouting.

Safe sleep: decorative pillows are for the room, not the crib. The AAP advises keeping pillows and soft objects out of the sleep space for the first 12 months.

Soft faux suede

A fine textured finish that holds printed colour unusually well, which matters for soft gradients and painterly patterns.

Printed edge to edge

The pattern runs across the whole face rather than sitting as a motif in the middle.

Available in four square sizes. Each is a true square: 14" × 14", 16" × 16", 18" × 18" and 20" × 20".

14" — the accent. The smallest of the four and the one to layer in front of a larger cushion. Good in a small nursery where an 18" would swallow the chair, and the right scale for a child to actually carry around.

16" — the everyday. The most versatile size. Sits comfortably on a standard glider without crowding you out of the seat, and works alone rather than needing something behind it.

18" — the standard. The most popular size for a reason: substantial enough to anchor a glider or daybed on its own, and the size most people picture when they imagine a cushion. If you're buying one pillow and want it to feel like a real piece of the room, buy this one.

20" — the statement. Best on a wide armchair, a daybed, or on the floor as a reading cushion. In a small nursery it will dominate, which is sometimes exactly what you want.

Buying more than one? An 18" behind a 14" is the classic pairing — the size gap is what makes a layered look read as deliberate rather than accidental.

A note on inserts. If you're supplying your own, buy one about 2 inches larger than the cover: a 20" insert in an 18" cover gives the plump, filled look, where a same-size insert tends to look flat at the corners.

Returns. Every piece is printed to order. Unused, unwashed items can be exchanged within 30 days. If something arrives faulty or misprinted, we replace it or refund you.
